This is the most common variety in the Vallée de la Marne.
It tolerates the most adverse weather conditions. It adds roundness and fruitiness to the blend.
Chardonnay : 30% of plantings
This is the preferred variety in the Côte des Blancs.
Being slower to age, this variety is ideal for ageing. It adds liveliness and mineral notes to the blend.
